Untraceable by Shelli Johannes-Wells Blog Tour Stop

Welcome to my stop on the Untraceable Blog Tour
Untraceable is out TOMORROW!! 11/29/11

From Goodreads:

16 year old Grace was reared in the wilderness. Her first pet was a bear named Simon. Her first potty, an oak tree. And, her first swing, a forest vine. Grace has lived in the Smokies her whole life, patrolling with her forest ranger father who taught her everything he knew about wildlife, tracking, and wilderness survival. But when Grace's dad goes missing on a routine patrol, unlike everyone in her sleepy mountain town, she refuses to believe he’s dead. When a Cheetos bag and stolen government file materialize, Grace is convinced she’s one step closer to proving all the non-believers wrong.

Then one day while out tracking clues, Grace is rescued from imminent danger by Mo, a hot guy with an intoxicating accent, that’s definitely not from her neck of the woods, and a secret. Grace has never felt a connection like this before, certainly not with her ex-boyfriend, the adoring, but decidedly unrugged Wyn.

Now with renewed confidence, Grace travels deeper into the wilderness that has always been her refuge only to learn that her father's disappearance is not a mere coincidence. Soon she’s enmeshed in a web of conspiracy, deception, and murder. And it’s going to take a lot more than a compass and a motorcycle (named Lucifer) for this kick-butting heroine to emerge from an epidemic that’s spreading like wild fire, threatening everything and everyone she’s ever loved.

Untraceable is a contemporary wilderness thriller for young adults.

Review: 5x5

Can I just say this book left me going O.M.GAHH! Where to start? Untraceable is a non-stop thrilling ride! You have mystery, blurred lines of who is good and who is bad, animals, totally guy hotness*with accent* ...You have a steamy love triangle and one Kick-Butt, do things for herself, strong willed girl that is Grace.

Grace is a girl after my own heart! I grew up in both the North Carolina and Tennessee mountains *TN now* and she is everything I was/still am. She is a very strong girl and does things that are RIGHT be damned the consequences because she is in the moment girl. I traipsed around in the woods constantly and love, love, yes LOVE all the wonderful details about Grace' surroundings.

All the characters are very well rounded and you are constantly changing your mind about them all. I mentioned guy hotness....MO is just yummy and very well written. The topics in the book will also make you think and I love that.

I am literally drooling *or foaming* at the mouth to get the second book! There are unanswered questions I have and it was just an all around Wicked ride! Make sure you GET YOUR COPY!!

Book 1
Aww, Hell No!

Fifteen year-old Megan Barnett and her single mom, Suze, have a special relationship—they are friends, close friends, who do almost everything together.

But come on, guys, she’s my mother… Can I really tell her that while we’re snuggled up on the sofa watching Spider Man Three, I’m secretly undressing James Franco with my eyes? Of course not…”

The special bond takes a turn for the worse when Suze decides to start dating again. She hasn’t had a man in her life since Megan’s father left ten years ago.

Enter two mysterious young men, Megan’s new classmate, sinfully attractive bad boy, Guy Matson, and the dangerously handsome art dealer, Armando. Before long Megan and Suze both wind up in steamy relationships. But neither of the handsome guys is quite what he seems. In fact, one of them is Satan, with his sights set on a new bride. Megan has precious little time to figure out how to stop him. If she doesn’t, either Megan or Suze are quite literally going to HELL.

Boyfriend From Hell is the first book in the Falling Angels Saga from the author of the gruesomely hilarious, Never Slow Dance With A Zombie

Beth Brown doesn’t believe in premonitions until she dreams a sexy stranger is gunned down during the brutal hijacking of a commercial airliner. When events in her dream start coming true, she heads to the flight’s departure gate.

To her shock, she recognizes the man she’d watched die the night before.
Lieutenant Commander Zane Winters comes from a bloodline of elite warriors with psychic abilities. When Zane and two of his platoon buddies arrive at Sea-Tac Airport, he has a vision of his teammates’ corpses. Then she arrives—a leggy blonde who sets off a different kind of alarm.

As Beth teams up with Zane, they discover the hijacking is the first step in a secret cartel’s deadly global agenda and that key personnel within the FBI are compromised. Review: 5x5

The story line for this 1st in a series book is really interesting! It is a great kick-off to what I am predicting to be a great series. You have Zane who is just a fortress of hotness, and he is also a Navy SEAL. He is lethal to those who oppose him a real Alpha male.

Beth is a great character also. She is practical yet comes undone when confronted with Zane. The "secondary" characters in this book which make up Zane's SEAL team are amazing! I totally enjoyed them as much as Zane and Beth. Cosky and Rawls oh how I can't wait to hear more of them. They are both excellent characters.

The easy banter between the males was very nice. I would find my self giggling at random things they would say to each other. Also, the action in here is just spot on! Keeps you flipping those pages eager to keep up! I am eagerly awaiting Forged in Ice the next in the series!!

The Betrayed Experience by Morrigan Michele, Misty Carmony

ebook

From Goodreads:
Love. Lies. Magick. Betrayal.

Alexis Allcroft is used to being different, but nothing could have prepared her for the buried secrets about to be revealed.

With her seventeenth birthday approaching the only thing on Alexis Allcroft's mind other than her birthday party is Sebastian Valto, the hot new guy in school.

Things suddenly take a strange twist, and in an effort to take the spotlight off herself, a spell backfires and her secrets are revealed as well; secrets she didn't know existed. With her world quickly spinning out of control, Alexis realizes no one is what they appear to be, not even herself! Alexis will soon learn that family secrets run deep, blood deep....

Review: 4x5

I have read before this premise, but Betrayed put a great spin on it. The story is interesting and will keep you turning the page to find out more. The only problem I had with the whole of the book was the language. No it's not foul language. Teenagers do to speak in clear concise sentences. There was alot of I guess just proper grammar where it should have flowed like talking. Does this take away from the overall? NO! I just put don't where there was a do no or talkin where there was a speaking.

I really liked the characters! All of them. Alexis is just a normal outcast Wiccan in her town of God fearing people. I really enjoyed all the characters but at the end..Well let's just say that the way Alexis handled herself was a complete 180 turn from her usual self and I got upset with her...hopefully I can understand why in the next book which I will be reading!!

Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi Review

Hardcover338 pages
Published November 15th 2011 by Harper/HarperCollins

From Goodreads:

Juliette hasn't touched anyone in exactly 264 days.

The last time she did, it was an accident, but The Reestablishment locked her up for murder. No one knows why Juliette's touch is fatal. As long as she doesn't hurt anyone else, no one really cares. The world is too busy crumbling to pieces to pay attention to a 17-year-old girl. Diseases are destroying the population, food is hard to find, birds don't fly anymore, and the clouds are the wrong color.

The Reestablishment said their way was the only way to fix things, so they threw Juliette in a cell. Now so many people are dead that the survivors are whispering war-- and The Reestablishment has changed its mind. Maybe Juliette is more than a tortured soul stuffed into a poisonous body. Maybe she's exactly what they need right now.

Juliette has to make a choice: Be a weapon. Or be a warrior.

Review: 5x5

I cannot stress enough how beautifully written this story is!! SO you can skip my review and just GO GET IT! No, really I won't even mind. Tahereh transports readers to a different US, one where everything is dying or dead or completely changed!

Juliette...wow, she's been in confinement for 264 days! That is way past enough for most *if not all* people to completely loose it. Not her, we learn that she is an amazingly strong girl and values life, not wanting to hurt anyone. She is so unsure of herself and she keeps all her thoughts in a small notebook she has. When Adam is thrust into her cell everything changes.

Adam...is totally my guy! He is a driven, caring, and yeah he's a hottie. In the "army" or the Reestablishment, he's supposed to get close to Juliette to assess if she is a danger to anyone. You learn some interesting things about Adam and they will make you fall for him after all he has been through.

Warner...I understand some people are gushing over him and even have Team Warner buttons....well NOT this gal! I want to snap his neck. I kept thinking oh I will see what everyone is talking about liking him and really all I wanted to do the whole time was punch him in the face for Juliette LOL. He is very well written just like everyone else!

GET This!! Like I said it is beautifully written, the words just flow and makes the story flow so well.
who is sooooo...

From Goodreads:

Sixteen-year old Desolation Black wants nothing more than to stay in Hell where it’s cold and lonely and totally predictable. Instead, she’s sent back to Earth where she must face the evil she despises and the good she always feared.

When Desi is forced to embrace her inner demon, she assumes her choice has been made—that she has no hope of being anything other than what her father, Lucifer, has created her to be. What she doesn’t count on, is finding a reason to change—something she’s never had before—a friend.

Review: 5x5

I was fascinated by the description of this book. I am so glad that I got to read it because I was submurged into Desolation' world. First off...Desolation how cool is that name? She hates it though so she goes by Desi. She is a kick butt MC and doesn't take flak from anyone, even her father, Satan! Throughout the book she has bouts of uncertainty  as to who she really is. She has been trained and brought up by the Devil himself and that is all she knows. Yet, she feels the good in people also and doesn't want to hurt anyone. The conflict I thought was explained really well, I totally got it! No I will not tell you...you must read to find out :)

Michael, oh how I enjoyed him. Strong, morale, and totally swoon worthy. His part of the story was very good...No really I totally love him.

The story line was infused with Christianity and some myths, which made it very interesting. I was able to follow along with the story and really enjoyed it! I cannot wait to see where the story continues to go and what Desi will do. You really need to get this book!!

Review: 5x5 *throw in a WOAH!*

Is that cover not beautiful? Ok, so when I won this I hadn't heard of the series before and was ready to give it a go. I am so glad I did!

Everyone knows there are Vampires and The Royal Vampire family rule over Claire's region. I loved the storyline it's a unique take on Vamps. Everyone over 18 makes "donations" to the royal family. You get a donor card just like a drivers licence, wicked cool. You get a glimpse of the human characters that surround Claire and well I thought they were kinda crazy.

Claire is a great character, she is real in her actions and thoughts. Very relate-able! She is thrust into something beyond her , she thinks. She's not a super heroin but she is adjusting which I think is a good thing. The Royal family... I fell for all of them. Well except 2 *shudders* The King and Queen made me believe in them and love them. There is one Vampire guy that I absolutely fell head over heels for, Dmitry *swoon* he is one of a kind! Also, Arrick *swoon*  umm yeah he's yummy and so amazing.

The ending blew me away! I am chomping at the cover to read Indulge *next in the series*!! This is a great and enjoyable read, get it you won't be sorry!!

Review: 5x5

Bridger is a wonderfully woven tale! I was taken on a fantastical journey and I loved every minute of it. The story itself is very unique and extremely well written, grabbing you and pulling you into the world that is created.

The characters are all very interesting and well realized. Ashlyn is an amazing girl I liked her immediately. Very strong girl and a great mindset. Her Memaw is a character that everyone will love! She is just amazing. Even Ashlyn's friends are loveable.

Hot boys? oh yeah it has em! Reese is the great always there for you friend, and I really do like him. Then there is Liam *sigh* I fell for him instantly. I'm sure you will too, but even if you like Reese better that's ok as long as you check this story out!

Review: 5x5

I jumped right into reading this book without knowing what it was about. Yes I do this quite often as it makes the book that much more fun for me to figure out what is going on. I got dumped into Corinne's life and I enjoyed every minute of it! Her character is very real and has great depth. She is a typical teen and the way she deals with everything is spot on. Mason...well when he was finally introduced umm swoon! He is a great guy with great heart! He's very protective and I would want him around, just sayin.

The story line was really great! You have mystery and intrigue along with typical teen problems. Complete misunderstandings that happen to the best of us. I love how easy it was to follow and everything flows so well together! You have to pick this up it is a great great book and an excellent start to the series!! The ending left me looking exactly like this...
